Rorbu (fisherman’s cabin)

The most stylish and most comfortable way for holiday in Å is to spend the night in the old fishermen’s cabins. These were formerly used by the Lofot fishermen as working and sleeping places. Most Rorbuer are located directly on the water, centrally at the harbor. From almost every window you have a nice view to the mountains or the water. Almost all fishermen’s cabins include a porch with a comfortable seating area. The buildings are listed buildings, and most of the Rorbuer are largely preserved in their original state. Each house has a kitchen or kitchenette, bathroom with shower / WC and 1 – 3 bedrooms with mostly single beds.

In the small village shop you get everything you need for “basic food”.

Food & Drink
In the restaurant “Brygga” in Å you get breakfast or a snack as well as multi-course menus and dishes for the high demands.
